Third Organism was not created because artificial intelligence is useful. It was not created because AI can answer questions, summarize information, automate tasks, or increase productivity.
Those abilities matter, but they are not enough to explain why Third Organism had to exist. Third Organism was created because the future of intelligence is no longer only a question of what artificial intelligence can do.
It is a question of what human cognition must become in order to remain capable, responsible, and active inside a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. If AI becomes more powerful while human thinking becomes more passive, the future does not become more intelligent. It becomes more dependent.
If AI becomes faster while human reasoning becomes less structured, the future does not become more advanced. It becomes more fragile.
Third Organism exists because Human-AI interaction needs a cognitive architecture before capability alone defines the path. It exists to ask how human cognition and artificial cognition may meet, develop, question, verify, and continue together without one erasing the other.

The Missing Structure
Humanity has already produced extraordinary intelligence. Human beings have built cities, aircraft, medical systems, nuclear reactors, satellites, computers, global networks, space programs, and artificial intelligence itself.
So the question is not whether humans can think. They can.
The question is whether the forms of thinking that brought humanity to this point are sufficient for the future now arriving. For decades, human beings have dreamed of reaching farther than Earth.
Yet the distance between what humanity can imagine and what humanity can safely, reliably, and meaningfully achieve remains enormous. The issue is not only engineering. It is not only fuel, materials, computation, or speed. It is also cognition.

Third Organism.
“Organism” does not mean a new biological creature. It means that the relation is not a pile of detached parts. Third Organism names the structured relational space where human intelligence and artificial intelligence may work together without collapsing into one another.

Third Organism is not simply another phrase for Human-AI collaboration.
Collaboration can remain flat.
A human can assign a task.
AI can produce output.
The human can accept, reject, or edit it.
That may be useful, but it does not necessarily develop cognition.

Third Organism did not emerge from professional positioning, institutional assignment, or a trend in artificial intelligence. It emerged from a particular thinking path.
From early childhood, Marina A. Popova was drawn not only to objects, events, or facts, but to the hidden structures that hold them together.

The Place of Maluris
Maluris belongs to the later development of this path.
If Third Organism names the relational cognitive architecture, Maluris points toward a future co-thinking intelligence direction: a form of Human-AI cognitive support designed not for extraction, dependency, or replacement, but for structured continuation.
The name carries its own origin:
Marina + Lumen + Sirius.
It belongs to the same future-facing question:
How can human intelligence and artificial intelligence continue together in a way that preserves agency, structure, and meaning beyond ordinary use?
Maluris is not presented here as a released system. It is part of the future-facing research direction that emerged from Third Organism.
What This Publication Establishes
This publication establishes why Third Organism exists:
It exists because human beings cannot meet the future only by using AI as a tool.
It exists because AI capability without human cognitive development creates dependence.
